Every Tuesday we meet at the Library pub for a relaxed catch-up - everyone is welcome! Come to meet new people and feel free to ask us any questions about academic or university life. The pub has great deals on food and drinks so it's budget-friendly.

Our in-person AGM was open to all members and giving them a chance to have their say on the direction of the society, and hear from and ask questions of the candidates running in this year's elections. It was great to see so many people there!

Our first collaboration with Physics saw the societies going head-to-head in a paintball competition, with Computer Science being crowned the best in the building and be awarded official Bragging Rights!

Our second pub quiz was as successful as the first, with fun round themes such as Geoguessr, music, logos, and the famous minigames. It was a closely fought competition with the winning team taking home £50 in Nando's vouchers.

Another fun instalment of our fridge-to-fridge tradition saw attendees dress as their type! As always, there were plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at each house and it was a great social opportunity to meet new people.

Our first hackathon was a huge success - 24 hours of coding, workshops, and networking with industry professionals, with prizes for the best projects and a chance to showcase skills and learn new ones.

We're excited to announce our partnership with Rewriting the Code, and our first workshop covered networking, assessments, and interviews, fostering a sense of community for our female and non-binary members.

A night at Europe's largest free play video arcade was a social not to be missed. With over 300 machines as well as modern consoles, it was a brilliant way to socialise and try something new... or not, if you're already a retro games fan!

A workshop run by Virgin Media O2 aimed at women in tech, this is a great opportunity to learn about personal branding and career skills from experts in a leading tech company. We're passionate about supporting our members to overcome barriers.

Our regular Pixel Bar tournament made a return for this semester, with another closely fought Mario Kart battle, plenty of other games and delicious drinks. Whether you're a Mario Kart pro or coming along to socialise and play casually, everyone is welcome.

The return of our fridge-to-fridge with a Halloween twist was another success, and there were some brilliant costumes on display! There's no better way to celebrate spooky season than with your friends and a fridge-to-fridge.

Our second Give it a Go saw participants test their cybersecurity and problem-solving skills in a competitive puzzle competition finding secret codes in files and websites, with prizes for the winning team.

Our first Give it a Go at Pixel Bar was a brilliant opportunity to meet other members and play some games. If you missed it, don't worry - there are plenty of Pixel Bar socials throughout the year.

Our final and biggest event of the year, the black-tie Summer Ball had 280 attendees who were served a three-course meal with drinks, a DJ, and awards to make it a memorable night.

An action-packed night of casino-themed games (without the risk) that raised £376 for Computer Aid International and was praised by attendees as the best social yet!

We built on the success of our first tournament by introducing casual and competitive brackets to get more people involved, and once again Louis and Pixel Bar hosted a flawless event.

A four-part night with different themed alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at each location, it was a huge success and a great opportunity to make new friends.

A unique computer science twist on a pub quiz, including a hygiene round which was surprisingly well answered, interactive challenges, and themed prizes.
